The Wyre is a complete Volkswagen ID. Buzz electric campervan, converted by CCCAMPERS at our Worcestershire workshop. It combines an all-electric base vehicle with a gas-free kitchen, independent lithium habitation power, an elevating pop-top roof and a choice of practical Duo or Solo layouts.

Gas-free kitchen and off-grid power
The habitation system is separate from the ID. Buzz high-voltage traction battery, so normal use of the kitchen, fridge, lighting and water pump does not directly draw from the vehicle’s driving battery.

An optional Nomad power upgrade provides a 3000W inverter and 640Ah LiFePO4 battery bank for customers who want to run higher combined loads or spend longer away from hook-up. Actual off-grid duration varies with appliance use, ambient temperature, charging input and battery condition.
Intelligent Grid Priority System
When the camper is connected to a campsite hook-up, the intelligent grid-priority system temporarily pauses leisure-battery charging while a high-demand cooking appliance is in use. This reduces the combined demand placed on the campsite supply and helps prevent the hook-up breaker from tripping. Battery charging resumes automatically when the cooking load ends.
Elevating pop-top roof
The rear-opening elevating roof provides standing room around the galley and extra ventilation when pitched. The roof uses an all-weather canvas and is designed to retain compact everyday proportions when closed. Confirm the finished vehicle height before using car parks or height-restricted barriers, as specification and fitted accessories can affect it.

Vehicle sizes and battery choices
The listing includes ID. Buzz variants from different model years and with different traction-battery specifications. Standard-wheelbase models are approximately 4,712mm long and long-wheelbase models approximately 4,962mm long. Width is approximately 1,985mm. A typical finished height with the pop-top closed is approximately 2,075mm, but the exact dimensions must be confirmed for the individual vehicle and fitted equipment.
Driving range and charging speed vary by model year, battery, temperature, payload, driving style, wheels and road conditions. Check the selected variant rather than relying on one range figure for every ID. Buzz.

Who builds the Wyre?
Every Wyre conversion is completed by CCCAMPERS in Worcestershire. Our relevant workshop credentials include IMI TechSafe Level 3 EV training, NCC Academy Trained personnel and Approved Workshop Scheme experience. Seating, electrical and structural components are selected and installed for their intended campervan application.

Does using the camper equipment reduce the driving range?
The habitation equipment uses a separate leisure-battery system and does not directly run from the high-voltage traction battery. Vehicle range can still vary with the overall payload, weather and driving conditions.
How long will the leisure battery last off-grid?
There is no honest single figure. Duration depends on cooking, heating, refrigeration, ambient temperature and charging input. The standard 320Ah system suits normal touring, while the optional 640Ah system provides substantially more stored energy for heavier use.
Can the Wyre run an induction hob, kettle or air fryer?
Yes, within the output and combined-load limits of the selected inverter. The standard 2000W system is intended for controlled appliance use. The optional 3000W system offers more headroom for higher combined loads.
Is the VW ID. Buzz suitable for winter camping?
It can be specified for colder touring with insulation, underfloor heating, blackout equipment and a suitable leisure-battery package. Winter energy use will be higher, so we recommend choosing the system around how and where you travel.
Is an electric ID. Buzz subject to clean-air charges?
As a zero-tailpipe-emission vehicle, the ID. Buzz meets current ULEZ emissions requirements. Congestion, road-user and local clean-air charging rules can change and vary by location, so check the current rules for each journey.
