The site is predominantly grass, so as well as exploring the forest, children have plenty of space to play in.
Camp at Holmsley and you’ll have the opportunity to take off straight into the forest on foot or by bike and enjoy its miles of tracks and footpaths. There is a fully equipped shop on site selling groceries including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, camping essentials and games.

When you’re done resting take off into the forest surrounding the site. Go by bike or on foot and enjoy the 143 miles of track and paths running throughout the glorious woodlands.
Nearby villages include the beautiful Brockenhurst with its abundance of restaurants, pubs and shops. The expansive picnic site at Balmer Lawn, next to the Lymington River, is a popular choice for both visitors and residents, and has provided an idyllic setting for countryside lunches for many years.

The Hampshire caravan site is in a wonderful setting in the forest and in October at night, stags can be heard roaring in the forest, along with owls and other forest creatures. The town offers plenty of good quality restaurants, places of interest and shopping treats to keep everyone in the family happy on their holiday.
Black Knowl (New Forest) Club Site opens onto over 140 miles of lovely walking track for you to explore in the Forest whether on foot, cycle or horseback. For those with an interest in local history, The Lyndhurst Museum and Visitors' Centre will shed more than enough light on the rich and fascinating past of the Forest.
